Biographical Outline

She received B. Eng. and M. Eng. degrees from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan, in 2000 and 2002, respectively. From April 2003 to March 2005, She was a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and She received Dr. Eng. degree in 2005 on the topic of dynamics and control of space manipulator systems to be mounted on the International Space Station (ISS). She has been a post-doc researcher in German Aerospace Center (DLR) since April 2005.

In the summer of 2003, she participated in Summer Session Program (SSP'03) of International Space University (ISU) in Strasbourg, France. In the summer of 2005, she served as a Teaching Associate at SSP'05 held in Vancouver, Canada. Since 2006, she has served as a visiting lecturer at ISU.
